The game's kind of evolved here. It's more of a small-game park sometimes. You're not always going to have the 10-8, 10-4 games that we had the last few days.

Ah, man. I'd like to think that if he didn't get a hit tonight, someone else would have. He did a great job and he swung the bat well, too.

I think our identity is already established. We are a team that people have to deal with and take seriously. It's not just talk. We are talented.

(Eaton) got behind in the count early, and that allows you to be more selective. When that happens with guys like Helton and (Matt) Holliday and (Garrett) Atkins behind me, I'm going to be more selective about the pitches I put in play.

It's always good to have things that happen only once every 55 years. I didn't even realize I hit two triples in one inning, till somebody said it to me after the game. I had no idea. It just didn't even occur to me.

It's a huge wall, so that's kind of an impact on you when you're going back there. I think it takes a few times of playing center field here to get used to that feeling.

It was good for us to come back and get this win after yesterday's game. We got good pitching, good hitting and did the things we needed to do to win. It is good to leave with a win and get a split on our way to Florida.

It's just getting into the ebb and flow of the season. I struggled a little bit at the beginning, but once you find you groove, you try to stay in it.

They are the defending (National League) West champions. They are coming into town, and we are going to have to be ready. I'm sure they do (remember) what went on at their place, and it's fresh in their minds.

We've had some disappointments, but those are things you learn from and I think we've done that. What's encouraging is the way the team has developed. We have definitely moved in the right direction.
